Engine Maintenance

In the course of operating an extensive worldwide fleet of A319, A320, A330, B737, B747, B757, B767, B777, DC9, MD-88, MD-90, and Regional Jet (RJ’s) aircraft, Delta TechOps has developed a knowledge and experience base in supplying engine maintenance and propulsion engineering.

With the implementation of Lean/Six Sigma processes, the expansive engine shop offers maximum flexibility for production planning of each engine from time of induction through final test. A multi-million dollar Nondestructive Testing (NDT) facility utilizes high-tech methods to inspect or detect cracks, flaws or imperfections in engine parts.

Before an engine goes back into service, it’s put through the rigors of one of our engine test cells. Annually, more than 650 engines and 350 APUs are tested in one of our five test cells. The largest cells are capable of testing engines providing up to 100,000 pounds of thrust.

As a major commercial airline, we understand the operational requirements of providing a high-quality product with the lowest possible cost per flight hour. Our expertise allows us to minimize turn times, effectively limiting the need for engine spares and reducing overall maintenance costs. Furthermore, our Engine-On-Wing team dispatches highly skilled technicians to engines needing repair when in service.

In addition, we offer competitive leasing and exchange agreements for power plant, APU, rotable requirements, with a comprehensive inventory available to supply your needs.
