Delta Celebrates National AMT Day Honoring All Delta TechOps Maintenance Professionals

May 24, 2011—Today, America is celebrating National AMT Day, which honors the professional men and women who ensure the safety and security of our airborne aviation infrastructure. Each year, we like to take this time to celebrate all of the professional men and women in Delta’s Technical Operations.

Each and every day you are the quiet heroes who work hard to ensure the safety, compliance and on-time departure of Delta’s fleet of 750 aircraft as well as the aircraft of our 150+ Customers worldwide. You have been the rock behind Delta’s Technical Operations division for more than 80+ years and the success of Delta’s half a billion dollar maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) business.

On behalf of the entire Delta and Delta TechOps leadership teams, thank you for your professionalism; for all that you do to make Delta TechOps a feared competitor in the MRO business; and for always staying focused on maintaining safe, reliable airplanes for Delta and our Customers worldwide.
