Delta TechOps Expands Maintenance Providership with Hawaiian Airlines

ATLANTA, April 09, 2014 – Delta TechOps, Delta Air Lines’ maintenance division and Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) provider business, is deepening its long-standing relationship with Hawaiian Airlines to provide an integrated component exchange and repair program for Hawaiian’s fleet of 12 Boeing 767 aircraft.

“We’re delighted to add these additional component services to our long-standing customer relationship with Hawaiian Airlines,” said Peter Turner, vice president Delta TechOps MRO “Component maintenance is fast becoming one of Delta TechOps most sought-after offerings and we continue to explore opportunities to expand our components portfolio for customers.”

Delta TechOps has provided its Complete Fleet services for Hawaiian since 2009 across its Airbus A330 fleet. Today’s announcement furthers that relationship to include component maintenance such as avionics and cabin maintenance for Hawaiian’s Boeing 767 fleet.

“Selecting Delta TechOps for this additional components support was a natural fit for our network and fleet given Delta’s extensive institutional knowledge of the 767 and its U.S. West Coast infrastructure,” said Lorrin Sardinha, vice president – Maintenance and Engineering at Hawaiian Airlines. “We look forward to a mutually successful MRO partnership with Delta TechOps.”

About Hawaiian Airlines
Hawaiian® has led all U.S. carriers in on-time performance for each of the past 10 years (2004-2013) as reported by the U.S. Department of Transportation. Consumer surveys by Condé Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure and Zagat have all ranked Hawaiian the highest of all domestic airlines serving Hawai‘i.

Now in its 85th year of continuous service, Hawaiian is Hawai‘i’s biggest and longest-serving airline, as well as the largest provider of passenger air service from its primary visitor markets on the U.S. mainland. Hawaiian offers nonstop service to Hawai‘i from more U.S. gateway cities (11) than any other airline, along with service from Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, American Samoa and Tahiti. New nonstop service will begin between Honolulu and Beijing, China in April 2014, subject to government approval. Hawaiian also provides approximately 160 jet flights daily between the Hawaiian Islands.
