Delta TechOps Opens an in-house Line Maintenance Station in Amsterdam

The initiative is to ensure the expertise and presence of Delta TechOps in the European, Middle Eastern and African regions.

Atlanta/Amsterdam, May 21, 2014 – Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) announced today the establishment of an in-house Amsterdam Line Maintenance Station presence, which has become the largest in EMEA, and follows the opening of line maintenance in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Previously, all aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul activity in EMEA was carried out by joint venture partner KLM. Delta also has a Line Maintenance team based in London-Heathrow and Paris-Charles De Gaulle.

“The opening of the Amsterdam line maintenance station is significant because it gives us a seamless base for maintenance functions in Amsterdam,” said John O’Donnell, regional director-International Line Maintenance. “From here, we will also be able to support the Delta operation across Europe, improving the customer experience by minimizing any maintenance-related delays.”

The station will be operated by 24 employees for complete routine aircraft maintenance services and will support other airports in the region to reinforce Delta’s goal to achieve industry leading international completion factors.
